Giving Voice to the Unheard
The University of Kansas students have found themselves staying silent when they have encountered assaults. Too often, individuals who have experienced sexual violence feel like their voices don't matter or that no one will listen. In a University of Kansas study, it was found that 26% of undergraduate women, 7% of men, and 23% of transgender people disclosed that they have experienced sexual violence. These numbers equate to 2,753 out of 10,587 women, 670 out of 9,569 men, and 171 out of 342 transgender people in the population of KU students. Our goal is to create a space where every voice can be heard, every story can be valued, and every person can find support. No one should have to struggle alone. Your voice matters, and your story deserves to be told.

About the Project
KUunheardvoices is a personal project dedicated to shedding light on the issue of sexual assault on university campuses. We aim to raise awareness through shared stories and valuable resources, fostering a community of support and advocacy.
You're Not Alone
Your feelings are valid, and your voice deserves to be heard. There are people who care about you and want to help you.
A Survivor Is Strong
You are strong and you are enough. You are more than what you've been through. Healing can be challenging, but finding the right resources can push you in the right direction. Talking to others can make you feel less alone.
